HCG Diet Drops question about what food to eat?
I am about to start the HCG diet drops and I know im supposed to eat only 500 calories a day but what kinds of food can I eat? I know it says I cant eat any dairy and I have to drink ALOT of water. If you did this diet what kind of foods did you eat give me an example of what you ate for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Also are you supposed to hold the drops under your tongue for a minute?

Second, 500 calories per day is too low. You are consuming muscle weight with that low a calorie intake, not excess fat. That is why the diet always fails when people go off of it.

Hi Liza!
There is a very specific list of foods that you are to eat while taking the HCG drops. I am including a link below.
When you take the drops, you are to hold them under your tongue for 15-30 seconds and then swallow. You should avoid drinking, brushing your teeth, smoking etc for 15 minutes before and after taking the drops.

Do a search for DR SIMEONs POUNDS AND INCHES and read the original manuscript. You can download it free all over the internet. The original book will explain everything you need to know and gives the food list.
I ate:
Breakfast – an apple, orange, or grapefruit
Lunch – 100 grams of chicken, white fish (on the list), green vegetable on the list, melba toast
Snack – an apple, orange or grapefruit
Dinner – same as lunch
I did the protocol for 40 days and lost 26 lbs – and kept it off.
Eddy is misinformed. 500 calories is fine because the HCG is mobilizing the fat in your body – you are living off your fat stores, not calories you are consuming. 500 calories is sufficient for maintaining muscle mass – you want your body to use the stored fat for fuel – that is how you will lose weight.
The diet does not FAIL. You will lose weight if you follow the protocol EXACTLY, as well as the maintenance part. People gain weight back because they go back to their old way of eating junk food. Eddy is wrong – healthy diet and exercise WILL NOT work every time. The body is much more complex than that. He is assuming that people are fat because they over eat or don’t exercise.
